How it works
Machines watch. A designer decides.
Collection and drafting are automated; taste and judgment are not. Target: under 30 minutes a week of human time.
01
Watch
Automated
A daily job reads official changelogs, release notes, docs and launch posts for the tracked products and flags likely interface changes.
02
Capture
Summer
When something is flagged, take 1–3 screenshots on your own account. About 10 minutes a batch, skippable.
03
Draft
Agent
Crop and redact, tag category and pattern, and draft every insight field. Unverified claims are marked for review.
04
Review
Summer
One weekly batch with a local preview. Edit the insight line, approve or reject. Under 30 minutes.
05
Publish
Automated
Approved entries go live; the Friday note is drafted from the new entries for one-click send.
Still manual
What needs a human, on purpose.
- Taking screenshots inside logged-in products (never automated, to respect product terms)
- Approving every entry and rewriting insight lines that are generic
- Final click to send the newsletter
- Handling takedown or correction requests (rare, within 48h)
- Replying to sponsor inquiries and approving sponsor copy
- Quarterly: choosing which products and patterns to add
Quality bar
An entry ships only if…
- 1The image is real, dated, openly licensed (or permitted) and credited.
- 2The insight is specific, non-obvious, and under 25 words.
- 3It names a trade-off: nothing is free.
- 4A designer could act on it Monday morning.
